Fees
The Association for Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP) recommends that "Therapists set their own fees and it is strongly recommended that costs are discussed fully before entering any agreement for assessment or therapy".
My terms and conditions can be downloaded from the document link below.
The rates for private speech and language therapy depend upon the type of service offered. I will explain fees to you when you first make contact with me. The cost will be between £40 and £60 per hour, and this includes travel up to 10 miles to and from my office. Greater distances will be charged at 50p per mile by road, or any journeys requiring public transport, e.g. ferry cost, a train journey, will be charged at cost.
- Fees for therapy sessions and assessments may vary with the type and complexity of each individual case, and the sort of service that is being requested. Services may be carried out at the client's home, school, or residential home.
- The detailed assessments and reports required for medico-legal work and educational tribunals are very specialised and time-consuming. Fees will be correspondingly higher than for less complex work.
- Fees for training can be arranged on a session or day rate.
